Bleu Screen

Dears,

I'm not a Computer Specialist, I bought this game today as I played it in the urly 90's and I LOVED IT !

Now, I installed it, when strting, I get the music and then a blue screen...
If I push ESC a couple of times I get to the intro (the world tuning) but no start-up menu...

Can somebody help me please ?

Spec seems ok - have you loaded the V1.09 patch, it looks like it with the Directx version number, just making sure? There were a number of issues resolved with that patch, although it doesnt look like it to many people.

Pagefile might be a tad low, normally your setting circa 2 x RAM would be fine, but this beast eats memory like there is no tomorrow, it may be hitting the pagefile and runout. Unlikely frankly, but not impossible particularly if you have other screens open at the same time, so wack it up to 1500mb with min=max, see if that works. No need to go beyond 1500mb unless you have an insane number of other apps open as well, in which case the solution is obvious

Any other strange happenings, or is this all you get so there is no time for other wierd things ? (!)

I notice that your display driver is 18 months old - try updating it.

Also try the memory fix under utilities on this site. Helps with the insane memory use.

anyone know a solution to this problem.. from what i have read it seems to be affecting GeForce 5600s a lot (i also use a 5600 and have the problem)

The Patch 1.09 solved all my problems !
It's working fine now and I'm a big Japanese ruler already ! ; )
