Bomb to death

is it possible to bombard a unit to death? It seems to me they just get red-lined.

In vanilla civ and PTW you can't bomb to death unless you use cruise missiles. In Conquests you can bomb them to death with bombers.

You can turn on Lethal Land/Sea Bombardment in the editor in PTW and post 1.21f Vanilla Civ3.

In the conquests Senarios you can only bomb air and sea units to death, not land.
