Bombarding more then once without using blitz

Hi, i could be wrong, but i thought if u change the rate of fire, u can bombard more then once per turn. But its not working. i can only do it once.. Am i doing something wrong?
The only way to do this is to add blitz. Then i can bombard depend of the # of moves.
So is it possible to do that w/o blitz coz i dont want my destroyers to be able to bombard 8 times.!!

The only time I've seen a unit bombard more than once is when it has more than 1 MP a turn, and is on an autobomb run.

And that's for an air unit.

i see so i can only do 1 manual bombard, but can do more then one on auto?

Rate of fire does allow multiple bombards, but only on one target (and it does it automatically). If a unit has a rate of fire of one, it only ever removes one hit point. If a unit has a rate of fire of two it can hit twice and remove two hit points (or once or not at all, of course).

ooh, u mean that "explosion" thing that happen when u bombard..So there is no way of actually using the bombarding action more than once per turn, only the number of " explosion " which is control by the rate of fire...ok i get it now.
