I seem to recall seeing a popup window saying that if you found a settlement next to a natural wonder, you'll get some kind of bonus, but I'm not seeing any. Does anyone know what this might be?

You get a bonus in the sense that your able to work the tile. They have a better base yeild, however they can't be improved. Don't just settle near one unless the overall land is good, because they alone aren't worth a city/settler.

As far as I know, it's just a large tile yield (3 :hammers: 3 :commerce: or something like that) if you work the wonder tile.

they seems to always have added gold (from tourism :) ?)

Getting 5 or 6 of anything from 1 tile is great. NW at least on land are 3prod/4gold, so 7. Very good tile to work if you have the food to support it.

I thought the bonus was you get 1+ happy people for discovering it.

Also cities next to mesa, fuji can build observatory, but you cannot build machu pichu on them, just a fyi.

Yes, that and 2 hammers 3 commerce for working it.
That I didn't know. In my next game I will have to look out for that and place a city close by next time instead of leaving it ignored.

Thanks for letting me know.

The Great Barrier Reef is 2 hexes worth of Goodness, sitting in the ocean. 1 Happy, 4 hammers and 6 commerce total.
