Here's the current status for the Boreum cities (no rush
assumed):

Octavia's Pt: Archers in 3 turns, growth in 6(?)

Marl Downs : Settlers in 6 turns, 1 Elvis, no growth

Mordhemia : Settlers in 3 turns, 1 Elvis, no growth.

Since the use of the current production has been decided,
that wasn't included in the poll. So I ask for your wishes
on the next items to be produced in these cities.

Please vote for only 1 Marl Downs option, 1 Mordhemia option,
and 1 Octavia's Point option.

Serutan, those are good choices. When I vote, I'm leaning:
Marl Downs to produce Temple
Mordhiemia to produce Archer? Settler? Not sure what to do with it?
Octavia's Pt. to produce Settler, it is growing rapidly.

Regarding the current production...
Octavia's Pt Archer to move North, guard founding of new city
Marl Downs $2 IPRB, then Settler in 5, Road due North
Mordhiemia [move serf to new road], Settlers in 3, Road to ???

Someone may want to strangle me, but contemplating of these roads, I see another spot for a Filler. On the River, 2 E of Reneaux. With such a city, we would need very few roads. And it can work the Forest E of Oasis that will otherwise never be utilized.
 
Can you tell us what the current garrison of these cities is? These cities are the closest to the Vikings, and if he gets suicidal, then he may attack. Although bribing his boats is a good way of slowing that down.....

In the cities with Elvi, I think we need to go for temples (although marketplaces may be a good option, if we're going to have Mike's in the mid-term).

I would like to see a balance of settlers and archers. Have MD building a temple/marketplace, OP building a settler and M building an archer. Then rotate production around. :)
 
Ainwood, each of these cities has a Phalanx garrison. I agree
that we need to balance out production between military
and growth (Settlers, buildings). This line of reasoning (and current poll status) tends to point to Mordhemia producing an
Archer instead of a Settler.

Gary: No, I wasn't sure. I could see equally good reasons
for either an Archer (close enough to known Viking locations
to get him over there) or a Settler (infrastructure). Although
I am aware that there was sentiment for using the Reneaux settler
for this, I sorta kinda thought the current Mordhemia settler
was going to found B1.
 
Serutan, that makes sense, and less walking than what I had earlier posted. Perhaps new OP Archer heads North to detect enemy landing. You're saying, the Mord Settler founds B1. Mord Settler Roads North, but leaves most of the work for MD Settler. That leaves the Reneaux Settler available, it's closer to the West, the people will surely love you for that plan. Seems ok to me. Still haven't voted, leaning:

Mordhiemia to produce Settler, if it's going to found B1 soon.
But ainwood has a good point, too, about one city building an Archer. I'm confused, and hence glad you guys have a good grip on the plan here.

Marl Downs to next build a Temple. Settler then Roads North.
Mordhiemia to next build Archer. Settler 1 Road, then found North Whale.
Octavia's Point to next build Settler. Archer to North Whale.

Since what I decided upon is also the plan of most others, I'll write why I voted so. Marl Downs needs a Temple, because it has two Road GrassLandShields, and low corruption being near REGIA CIVITAS. Its current Settler will found G2NE in one move (G2NE adjacent to 3 Forest, serf on River Bend Shield, build Settler), so MD will grow quickly. We can move the Phx out NE, put Elvis to work on the Road, complete Settler in 4 turns. Settler then builds Roads North to OP while MD constructs its Temple. G2NE will be named Neuma, without a poll, if that's ok with Leowind. Speaking of Leowind, I wonder what he thinks of this Boreum plan?

OP Archer marches to North Whale Site on Pure Green. Then a Settler, since its River is helping it to grow quickly; it will soon hire Elvis. That will be the first OP Settler. That leaves Mord to build the next Archer. Since it's about to complete a Settler, that should work fine. Mord Settler to build perhaps only one road. It can move NE on existing road and charge once. Then NE N to build a road on GLS between OP and the Teeny Lake. Then march quickly up to North Whale Point on Pure Green.
