Domination with the help of riffles (with amphibious) and frigates. At least the aggressive trait came in handy. Conquered everyone except the Ethiopian. Due to the extra cities, the loss of the Great Lighthouse and the late contact with AI, I did not do it as early as I could. AI had gunpowder before me, but no one learned rifling. Only in the end I traded it to Zara.
A simple game with a couple of mistakes at the beginning (early alphabet, lose GLh) and in the first phase of the military campaign. To finish France had to win 2 from 3 72% battles, I took a chance and lost all 3. As a result, I lost about 5 moves, 4-5 more riffles and had to make an additional draft. While I was waiting for new units, slowly conquering Japan. Then quickly Portugal and Khmer.

Abandoned game. Hopeless when others are so far ahead of tech. No chance to attack and no chance to win peacefully either. So decided to waste my life in other ways.

In about 17 days there will be a Noble level game. I will try to make it interesting without making it harder to win than a normal Noble level game. Of course, in these games, the mapmaker is not the competition, it is the others in the community who play the game that are your competitors. I am just evil and untrustworthy. :mischief: They will crush you unless you hit them where they ain't. No... but seriously... trust me... the next one will be a cakewalk. ;)

Also domination. Attacked Toku using galleys, catapults and Elephants since he was weak and didn't even have longbows for the first few turns of the war. Unfortunately the captured cities were culturally crushed by France and De Gaulle had Maces so I couldn't continue the war immediately. Decided to beeline Rifling and started the war with my medieval units a few turns before Rifling tech was discovered. Captured De Gaulles four cities while drafting and building some rifles. Tech'ed to Steel with the intention of going after Joao who got Rifling around the same time as I did, but I got him to Friendly and decided to go for the Khmer instead and trade for Astronomy with Joao. Joao's privateers threatened the galleys that were moving riflemen across the strait to the major continent and I had to get some frigates built to police the waters. The five Khmer cities were run over fast with stacks of cannons and rifles and in the meantime my core cities had built a fleet of galleons that moved the stacks to the Ethiopian island and took Zara's seven cities, resulting in a somewhat late domination.

It felt like a tough game, maybe because of the semi-isolation. The small map, however, prevented the game play from becoming a never ending military campaign. Well done by the map maker!
