BTS wont install on windows 7

Hello everyone. I'm having some trouble getting BTS to work on windows 7. The launcher opens fine, but when i hit install the "setting up install wizard" window comes up and the progress bar is permanently stuck about half way. Anyone know how to fix this? thanks!

EDIT:if i let it run for long enough i get this error code:

Error Code: -5006 : 0x80070017

i have the same error has you
the problem started when i reinstall a new version of windows xp professionnal, the istallation of beyond the sword work before that.

by the way dont buy a program of registry cleaner , it's wont work , i've tried that

if someone have the solution plz lets us know it.

zacman: have you looked at this thread? I'm able to install BtS fine when I follow the instructions in the thread.

dperfecto: If it's in XP, I'm not sure...I guess you could try the same steps as the thread I linked zacman to.
