Yes, I've got THAT problem :( Not too pleased, since my dad's old system runs Civ4 just fine - without any annoying glitches. Shocked me at the time, since I'd heard Civ4 was glitchy... now I've found out that it is

My graphics card is an Nvidia 6600GT, running latest drivers. I don't want to rollback, because a) I run the Sims 2 as well, and that's a bit glitchy with some drivers too, and b) I have a bad gremlin infestation that I've not been able to get to the bottom of, and had problems updating my drivers in the first place (I've not seen a BSOD for a couple of months, I'm starting to like it this way :))

I did have huge problems with the drivers that came with the card - I couldn't play fullscreen games or watch DVDs at all. I'm not sure who manaufactured the card, since it was pre-installed, but their name is currently mud where I'm concerned

Anyway, I apologise for ranting so much on my first post. Question is, I saw that the patch is recommended to fix this issue (the corrupted map), but couldn't find confirmation that it did (I'm new, so maybe I missed the obvious). Does it? I'm currently running the demo (being a student), and would like to know if it's fixable before I fork out for my own copy of the full game.

I get a green line that goes accross the center of my display when I run two cardfs in SLI mode. When I disable SLI it runs fine. I am using NVIDIA GEFORCE 6800 XT (x2).

That doesn't sound like my problem at all - I have the blue/green pattern when fully zoomed out, only the cities are visible. I don't currently have a picture, having used my clipboard since I print-screened it, but other users on this forum have complained of the problem, and a search will reveal some screenshots that show it exactly (but unfortunately, few answers!).

lines on zoomed out map? did you try taking off the military planning thingy overlay?

The green line is caused by the option 'Show GPU Load Balancing' in the SLI options for the card(s). If you switch that off the green line should disappear but you might be able to keep the SLI running.
