OK. I just got cIV this morning for christmas !
I was so excited...
But now I'm so desapointed !
First the game showed some strange things on the screen, and then crashed when I launched It.
Ok, maybe a video dirver problem I thought. So I upgraded my catalyst drivers to the latest version.
Well it is a little better, the game does not crash anymore.
Now I got this :
And it doesn't work after that, it closes.
I've seen on this forum that there are a lot of people reporting problems with ATI cards.
I've got a Radeon 9600 Pro with 256 MB.
My PC is a Pentium4 @ 3GHz, with 1024 MB RAM, and I'm running WinXP SP2, up to date.
I've seen several people talking about a solution on this site :
http://www.2kgames.com/civ4/support.htm
But I guess I'm not the only one beeing offered cIV for Christmas, and this website is unaccessible, I got bits of webpages, and that's about 1h30 I'm trying to access it now !
Anyone can help Me ?
