BUG work on Steam Civ?

I've got both the disk and steam based Civ4, but currently have the steam version stalled. Will BUG work with the steam version? The Steam version appears to be implemented by several different teams and there is a bit of inconsistancy in program locations. Any input?

I use BUG with the Steam version of BTS and it works fine.
