I'm trying to construct a fleet, but it's so slow. I have more than enough money, so is it possible and how.

p.s. couldn't find anything useful wih my awesome searching abilities

Thanks

Go to the city screen you will see city govrener buttons (In the bottom bar, third quarter, beige/umber colour.) And the buttons for using population and money for rush-build are just above them.

To get the universal suffrage, you must research democracy. Then change to the civic universal suffrage, wait until the anarchy is over and use the rush buy button in the city screen.

You mean the DRAFT-button. Doesn't really seem to do anything and those other beige buttons require something.

Forum Troll? There are 5 buttons, it is not THAT hard to pull your mousecursor over them and read what they say... after 3 people told you where they are and how to use them...

No, not the draftbutton.

Not a from troll, just didn't seem to work before I got the democracy. I'm way past slavery etc... Works right now.

There's 3 ways to "buy" units and they are all tied to specific civics:

Slavery-- uses your citizens as currency, can buy buildings and units
Universal Suffrage-- uses gold as currency, can buy buildings and units
Nationhood-- uses your citizens as currency, can only buy specific military units

I'm not totally sure how they all interact together... Say if you had Universal Suffrage AND Slavery enacted, because it's not something I've ever really had to do. US and Slavery are quite spread out in the tech tree, and so there is always a better alternative to Slavery by the time you have Universal Sufferage.

I've had both together (thanks to a UN resolution forcing me to adopt US). Both rush buttons were lit up, I believe. So you could either rush using population or rush using gold.
