Can not build farms without irrigation,even with the correct tech advance

Pretty self explan. Anyone else having this problem? Very annoyo since I was really looking forward to finally improving those problem cities! Just will not allow the improvement even tho I have a farm next to the tile and have the advance.

Oh yeah. And later got the other tech that allows you the same ability.

Its hard to believe that no one else is noticing this...hmmm.

have u discovered biology yet? thats the only way to build farms anywhere u want.

What tile are you trying to improve? You can only farm grass, plains, tundra or floodplain tiles without hills on them, and with fresh water up to civil service and then fresh water or a chain of farms from a fresh water tile until Biology.

You cant EVER irrigate tundra nor desert that isn't by a river with ANY advance, was it one of these squares?

Bingo, I did not know that about tundra! I irrigated one by a river, then, well you know the rest Thanks.

Hey, where did you learn that ? I must have over looked it. Of course, there is just SO much to know with this game...plus all the changes as the new editions rolled on over the years...no more 1991 level

I learnt it from building cities in the wrong places
