can not load MP Save

Hi,

I started a MP Game with a friend (Civ3 Conquest 1.22) and everything was fine. But when we saved the game and loaded it later the person who tries to join always gets a "DataIO operation System error: DATE" and "DataIO operationSystem error: PLGI" and after that "Error reading File "MPSave.tmp"". We can start games but not load them. Has someone an idea what we can try to do?

Sounds like the person isn't using hte same patch. Data I/O errors typically occur with incompatable patch versions

We both have the same version (Conquest 1.22). We just start a MP game, play one turn, save, load and get the error. We also have both the same language version. The error occures when we continue to the MP-window (where you can choose all the rules).

Actually, I just upgraded to 1.22 from 1.0 and got the same messages trying to load a 1P game. Any ideas?

Once you have upgraded to version 1.22f, I don't think you can load saves created in version 1.00.

Just start a new game, and it should work OK.

That I did, thanks I thought I'd read that you could use 1.00 saves in 1.22 but not vice versa if you reinstalled. Obviously my grasp of the English language is lacking
