Can we have map markers?

I often plan ahead where my improvements are going to be built. So that I have maximum culture from my hamlets, or I can built a library next to two resources. I actually like this kind of micromanagement. But after placing the first improvement I have to redo it all again because I forgot the exact placement. Especially the next day or next weekend.

It would be extremely useful for me to be able to place markers on the map to help me plan and remember. Any chance this is possible?

Use ALT and you can put comment on each tile. I don't know how to remove them though.
