Just to be clear, I don't want to turn off score as a victory condition. What I mean is, can I turn off the sidebar that shows everybody's scores in a multiplayer game? There are several reasons for this:
--It's kinda lame that you know all the civs in the game before you make your first turn, including who your buddies are. You shouldn't know. If I know for example that my buddy is Egypt, I know he's going to wonder rush. I shouldn't know this! If I know he's the Celts, I know he's probably going to go after religion before me. I shouldn't know this either!
--It's very lame that when somebody builds a wonder who haven't met, you know exactly who did by their score! You should have to meet somebody to see their score, and should have to have seen their city to know if they built a wonder, just like in a single player game!
--It's also lame when I can see by scores that two people I haven't met are at war, and one is kicking the others butt and taking their cities. Again, I shouldn't know this about 2 civs I've never met!
Lots can be inferred by seeing the civs and scores of people you haven't met in a multiplayer game. Strategies can be planned on turn 0, based upon the civs of people you haven't even met, and strategies can be changed in game based upon changes you see in score, again, based on civs you haven't met!! Seeing score takes away from the fun!
