Cannot get into debug mode

I did change the ; Move along
CheatCode = 0
to ; Move along
CheatCode = chipotle
I hit ~ and the box doesn't come up. I running the game in Windows 7.
Can anyone help?

The last time i used that console was very long ago, not much clue what could be wrong only: 1. you edited the wrong config file (i think theres a sepearate one for vanilla & bts), 2. you have a !english keyboard layout (propably not, just speculation on my part).

In the "Civ4 - Creation & Customization" theres a sticky thread about the cheat code, i'd ask there if you get no further replys here within a few days.

Thanks mintegar, the Civ4Config file is also in the bts (Beyond The Sword) directory, I edited it and now have access in the debug mode. Your the best!
