Cannot Locate the CD

I bought the CD 3 days ago and nothing went wrong during the installation and I started playing the game in single player mode and its an extremely addicting game. However, on the 2nd day, I inserted the CD and it read "Cannot locate CD" So, I take the CD out and insert it again and it plays. On the 3rd day, which is today, I insert the CD and same comment shows, so I take the CD out and insert back in...no luck. I try both disks over and over, but no luck. Any help in this matter?

I've read many comments about this same problem (not on this site), but on others and none of their suggestions helped.

Ironically, before I bought the game, I was reading some of the problems with the game and this is the first bug I read (cannot find CD), thinking that this wouldn't happen to me...

Oh! Forgot to add that when I go into my computer file and click on DVD Drive (D) It reads "Windows cannot read from this disk. This disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with Windows"

...don't know what that is all about, but I very much doubt that the CD is corrupted, but you never know.

Have you tried another disk (of another game)?

I had a problem where my computer did something like this and I pressed troubleshoot and it was fixed.

Yes, I tried another game and it worked... its just the civilization game doesn't.

Also when I restarted my computer a message popped up that said to terminate runtime library. I have no idea what that means...so many problems.

The thing I don't understand is that the game worked fine the past two days.

Then i think you should maybe clean your CD (DVD)?
there are cleaning substances on the market that are specialy designed to clean CD surfaces...
Also check if it has scratches because scratches are deadly to CD's
