As France,I defeated burgundy on the emperor level by killing their three kings but i did not recover their holy relic that i would like to take to Jersalem . I know it starts in Rome so i went back a few turns and conqurered Rome before killing the last king...still no relic.I am doing this fairly early in the game...like turn 65....anyone have advice on how to find these relics? i tried spying...but that does not work when you are at war.Perhpaps i have the relic but dont see or know how to pick it up? any advice would be appreciated.

I thought it was located in Venice or the two-word city, I can't recall the
name right now  . Another civ may have it like Zurichuk said. ;)

No, the Burgundian relic starts in Rome. The Burgundians have obviously moved it. I am not sure whether a relic can be destroyed by killing all three kings, but I think that in that case, the relic would just sit where it was until someone calimed it. Most likely, another civ found it and took it.

well i finally got the relic and to answer questions raised...after killing the burgundians and finding nothing ...i killed the germans...when their third king died their civilization crumbled and the shroud of turin was found lying on the ground near an ruined city,no doubt being transported by a troop.

I've heard that relics are sometimes seen carried by a lone wandering spearman, who may meander as far as Siberia with it. I don't think a relic can be destroyed. If you can't find one where you thought it should be it could be almost anywhere...

I suspect if you had a unit with a relic aboard a ship that gets sunk, then I would imagine the relic would be lost.

I took a holy relic to Jerusalem and tried to enter but it said I would start a war. Do you have to own Jerusalem to return relic ?
