For some reason when I start a scenario game and download the first turn hotseat still detects the game as single player and won't let me load it.
Relevant info:
Mac OSX Mtn Lion using Firefox
Civ5 with Gods and Kings expansion through Steam
Game -> http://multiplayerrobot.com/Game/Details/1497
Steps I used:
Started a single player scenario in Civ5 (have tried the steam punk and into the rennaisance so far)
Before touching anything with my Civ I saved the file
Logged onto GMR and clicked Create, chose Scenario game and Uploaded the saved file
Invited friends
Once all invites joined and chose a Civ I clicked Start Game
Downloaded the save file and go to Hotseat
Try to load the save, but Load is grayed out and can't be clicked
The save file info on the left shows my civ and at the bottom it says single player
Any ideas or am I doing something wrong? I don't see anyone else on the forums having issues so not sure what I am missing.
Thanks!
Edit:
I opened the save file in a text editor and was unable to find any reference to any of the invited player names other than mine. I compared it to one of my other games, and as expected the other players are listed in that save file. It seems like the GMR site is not updating the save file with the invited players and converting it to hotseat. Just not sure if it is something I am doing or what.
Edit #2:
I loaded up the downloaded save file back in the Single Player Load screen. When it loads up it has my player name correct and has my password as if I was playing a hotseat game. However, the player's list shows that the second player has a blank name and the rest are AI still. What appears to be happening is that the GMR site is partially altering the game and must be failing on insertion of the second player in to an AI slot. I imagine the conversion to be a hotseat game must take place sometime after adding the players.
I had someone else try it from their Windows PC in both FF and IE with the exact same results as above.
