Can't get units to promote

when a unit gets 10 exp. it won't gain any more through combate how can i fix this?

Attack something other than barbarians (there is a maximum experience limit you can get through attacking barbs).

And please don't bump a thread after only 4 minutes!

i do attack others than barbarians i attacked civs as well with units with 10xp but they don't gain any expcan you only gain a certian number of exp from a specific unit before you have to swich unit types???

sry i'm used to a forum were if no1 post in like 1 minute it is lost forever

OK - can you post a save where you have this issue (and I think the max experience points against barbs is lower anyway, come to think of it)

If you upgrade a unit, it only retains 10XP (although it retains promotions you've given it above that) - could that be the problem?
