i dont know why, but in my game right now i cannot move my bombers or fighters at all.
any one know why? (v 1.29f)
i'm building a massive army to destroy the world but i cant use it yet...ARRRGGGHHH!!!!

I think you need to click on the unit to activate it, then hit "B" (I think - or use the action buttons down the bottom). This will activate the 'bombard' grid, and you choose the square you want to attack. You don't "move" bombers as such, you use them more like artillary. :)

After all, in real life planes just don't go walking around. They have to have a base, they have to refeul, etc. So, all air units are based on a city. Every turn, you can conduct a Recon mission (reveal any group of squares within operation range, or range that they can go to before crashing because they have no feul left) or Bombard (like catapult and cannons).

The real frustration for me is that air units should be able to take off from one city, do a bombing run, and then land in another. Heck you could even do that in Civ2. Wasting a whole turn on rebasing is nonsense.

Solution: make the air units movement two ;)
Now they can bombard and then rebase afterwarths, or first rebase and then bombard :)

I have the German Ju-87 Stuka like this, it has low range, but you can immediatly move it to conquered cities and bombard :D
You could also give it blitz, this allows it to bombard twice in one turn, but that's something I didn't really like.

Yes.
IIRC you can only move them to cities with airports
If you have Conquests, you can build airbases, and move them there

You don't need an airport in a city to station a plane there, the only limit is that ( in C3C) the target city is less then 6 (?) times the operational range from the city where the plane currently is.
