I'd like to be able to use the BUG interface while using Blue Marble graphics. However, the better terrain graphics and custom in-game menu recolors/transparencies are not showing up, while the BUG interface is displaying normally.

Is there any way I can get the visually pleasing graphics of Blue Marble and the BUG interface working together?

That's absolutely no problem. I always use BM together with BUG and never had any problems.
Which install did you choose? Mod or CustomAssets?

I chose Standard Install. Is that the same as CustomAssets?

Yes. :D
Hmm, I always install it as mod but it should work in CustomAssets, too. After all, BM is installed into this directory as well. We had a similar problem with 3.0 but as 3.5.1 doesn't have a stock .ini anymore this is a bit odd... :dunno:
Maybe EF can help.

If I uninstalled and reinstalled BUG in the MODS folder instead, would that solve the problem?

EDIT: I tried it. It works. Problem Solved.

I have BUG and BM installed in customassets - you just have to have them in the same customassets.

Yes, you can install BUG and BM to CustomAssets in either order. However, the BUG installer recommends renaming your CustomAssets folder to avoid conflicts with any other changes you made there, and that would effectively remove BM had you installed that first.

You can continue using BUG as a mod, but as you install future versions of BUG, you'll need to do a little more work to get your older games to work with the newer versions. This is a Civ4 thing--not a BUG thing. But that will only involve renaming a folder, so it's not too bad.
