Hello,
I recently installed a brand new copy of Civilization IV: Complete Edition. I was extremely excited to play, but to my dismay, the game will not work at all. I am running a Windows 7 and the game requirements should for no reason be an issue. However, when I insert the disk and hit play out of the autorun menu, it simply disappears, and that's it.
When I attempt then to run the game without the disk(which I am not sure can even really be done, so at this point I may just be attempting to run the vanilla version) it seems to begin loading, and about 3/4's of the way through the load, it stops and tons of XML error notifications pop up. So far, no solutions I have tried have remedied the issue.
So I tried to install the game on my old dell that is running XP. It worked absolutely fine, but this computer does not have the capability to really run the game smoothly, so this isn't really a solution.
If anybody could help me, I would vastly appreciate it. Ideally, I just want to run the Complete edition on my Windows 7.
Thanks.
