Can't train modern armors anymore?

So I was stacking up on units to invade Greece and I get a message that tells me I can't build more modern armors for no apparent reason, and now I can only build regular tanks. It's like my technology devolved or something. Also I can't build jet fighters and stealth bombers either :(

Any idea what's up with this? Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Do they require a resource (oil, rubber, iron, something like that) that you traded, depleted or otherwise lost?

Did your enemy capture the resources needed to build those things? I had a game today where the enemy captures my only copper mine so I couldn't build axemen anymore.

A spy may of took out your resource. They are annoying, check where you had aluminum, the mine may be gone.

Also, did you trade resources to someone? In Civ IV you can trade away all of one specific resource. I accidentally did that in the Desert War scenario.

That deffinately looks like a rescourse issue. There are many ways to cut off resources. Look into trade routes.
Your resource has to make it to your capital to bring to other cities connected to capital. or something like that....

Check the civilopedia to make sure there isn't any other resource you need.

Oh silly me, I just noticed that a choper destroyed a mine and I was trading the other 2 xD

Thanks all for the help

You should enact revenge on whatever civ attacked your mine and unleash a mountain of modern armour on their cities :p

You don't have to tell me, there will be no tomorrow for Alexander the Great :goodjob:

It seems like Alexander is replacing mongolia(from civ3) as this CIVs "problem civ". I always have serious issues with that guy.

They let you be leader of a country?

 Me Too this guy is great

he always gives me a reason to go to war

Alexander is a jerk but so is Montezuma! So far in three games I have started near him in two and he has always stabbed me in the back even though our relations were good. I have a shoot on sight policy for future encounters :)
