I remember I get this feeling everytime a new Civ is about to be released ><

When Civ2 was about to be released I couldnt even think about it because I was romanticising about what Civ3 would look like.

When Civ3 was about to be released the first thing I would do whenever logging on was looking for a Civ4 forum & reading up on everything I could find.

Now Civ4 is gonna be released, Can we please have a Civ5 forum ?? ; ;

We've come so far. The days I used to skip school to play Civ1 I never imagined a civ2 could ever even be a dream.

So as far as Civ4 goes for me, it's just gonna keep me occupied until Civ5 is released XD.

So there is not a single other person that feels the same as I do ?

Yes, it's time to move to a place where the ideas can roam free, where there are no rules against speculation and where one can make assumptions for improvement without getting told 'The last one isn't even released yet' .

i can wait for the game actually. they ought to put in more in there. improve the ai, improve the trade system, improve the diplomacy by adding in new treaties as we become more advance - like the CTBT or NPT - a grand alliance like NATO and Warsaw pact, or the AXIS alliance versus the Allies for that matter. put a world market where prices are decided by supply/demand ratio, and we should be able to place embargoes on certain techs - for example military techs only while still being able to trade other stuff. you things like these that make the game more interesting.

I agree with you.

I didn't play civ 1 and 2 though. I started Civ III about a year ago and still play it. I actually found civ 2 sitting in one of my boxes and tried playing it a couple of months ago, but it was ponderous.

I was very excited a few months ago when i found out about Civ IV and check up on it almost every day.

I'm sure you're not the only one, since this is "CivFanatics" and it's pretty active.

I dont think there will be civ five
Why not?

On the main topic: I can understand. Sometimes the hype can be as good as the game.

because civv would be too confusing. wait are u trying to type civ, or civ five?

all it would take is a few advancements to make computers unlike anything we have seen or -maybe some holographic stuff- to make Civ outdated-but its premise will remain - i mean chess is basically "control ur units and kill the enemy king "

Why Civ5? Don't you want to play Civ4 first? ;)

I think it was a typo Cheiftess

I know, that's why I made the joke. ;)

no !! it wasnt a typo, I mean I cant wait to see how Civ5 will be like.

We already have a load of information about Civ4,enough to construct an expectation of the upcomming experience.

To clear up, I am already looking past Civ4 (that hasnt been released yet) & towards civ5.

I edited my original post to say Civ5, please re-read >.<
(I was wondering why there were no flames oO)
