I enjoyed it and was addicted for a while. There is much challenge and the AI is better than most. IIRC one effective way of winning is to keep on reloading the starting map until you find an advantageous starting position and also the specialists with the expertise in the areas of interest (I'll have to look up my archives for details). Hiring a highly qualified CEO is important.
