On a chain of islands in the middle of an ocean, a weapon of mass destruction, unlike any seen before, is detonated in the middle of a large lake. The blast instantly freezes the surrounding waters, as well as the immediate coastline. The weapon also releases a large amount of fallout into the waters, which gradually seep into the land. The land is withering, the animals are dying, and many once great cities and civilizations have been wiped out, yet you remain.
Oh great leader, can you lead your people out from this forsaken island? Will you save them from this invisible death? Will you build a Civilization that can stand the trials of Dead Ice Bay?

The Cataclysm map pack features variations on one map, with varying degrees of destruction. Seeing as this is an island map and not a world map, world wrap has been turned off. These maps were created with the intent of offering a challenge to any who were growing tired of the standard maps. Please take care when going up in terms of which maps you use, the difficulty raises exponentially. There are wonders from Brave New World used in the map, so please do try to have that expansion pack enabled when you use these maps.
The Cataclysm map pack contains four maps:
Dead Ice Bay
The standard map, as well as the easiest difficulty. Minimal damage has been done to the island chain.
Dead Ice Bay Deluxe
A significantly harder version of the map, with the amount of damage done to the enviournment heavily ramped up. Less good land, and less resources overall.
Dead Ice Bay Super Deluxe
The island chain is in critical condition, experts only. This is not the final version of the map; expect changes to increase the difficulty.
Dead Ice Bay Restored
A restored version of the original map. No ice or fallout, or destruction is featured.
