Depends on what games you're running. Each new version usually contain fixes for specific game titles.
I'm running 5.13. I think 5.07 was the first one I had and every upgrade since have given me a few more points on 3DMark05. Although I won't notice any difference in stutter etc, I hope that the few more points can be translated to lower load on the graphics card and thus lower temperature. I suspect temperature have been the primary cause when games crashes.
