[14:56:11] Kentonio: if we would be willing to provide you with writing now in return for CB, would you consider Construction as your next project which we would then trade for Map Making? It means you guys taking a 2 point drop overall in return for the immediate trade

Editor Values:
-----------------------------------
Ceremonial Burial: 2
Writing: 8
Mapmaking: 12
Construction: 20

It would be nice to get writing now, but construction is more worth than mapmaking, and we wont get mapmaking before we get construction, meaning they will have mapmaking for a while before we get it.

I'm still undecided on this.

I'll think it's a good deal, but I won't vote yet to see if others can sway my opinion.

On another note, in this game, editor values are worth anything, since we're not competing against the AI.

I think we should trade for Writing IMMEDIATLEY. But going for Construction is a big undertaking. We should just research Map Making ourselves and Horseback Riding. What happend to what they was going to give for Math?

This is what I strongly propose;
-Give them CB for Writing.
-Trade what else they have for Math. Research Map Making (we will probably get it after them).
-Then start Horseback Riding and trade that for something!
:D:D:D:D:D:D

edit: BTW, I voted NO.

Amirsan -

I'm certain that the Writing for CB deal is contingent on our promise to research Construction. They won't trade Writing straight up for Ceremonial Burial.

Of course, we could always make the trade and then welch on our word, but good luck on us trading for techs any time after that.

While getting Writing now, is a good thing, committing to Construction will definitely mean giving up any hope of getting either the Great Lighthouse or the Great Library. Also, the more time the other civs have Map Making, the more likely that they will settle that island to the SW before we will.

On the other hand, if we can get Construction in a decent number of turns, it may be beneficial to conduct this trade. It all depends on how quickly we can get Math. The biggest discovery from the chat with them yesterday was that they will be discovering Math in 7 turns! We must beat them to it if we want to use it to trade for Writing from the other nations.

If we can get to Math first, then this trade is a no go in my opinion.

CB for Writing would be contigent on Construction/MapMaking. They will not accept the large point difference.

We have no chance of getting maths in 6 turns or less in my opinion, ETA is still 17 or 18 now and I strongly doubt that it will improve THAT much.

The tech situation is getting bad, and I think that we need to organise with someone to co-ordinate research. HOWEVER this is not the way. Tell them, we will co-ordinate research, but not this time. Tell them we are drawing up a proposal for our next technology.

We must create a technology alliance.

We definitely *need* map making to explore that island to the West. If we're the first to contact civs from that island, we may sell those contact for a nice price tag...

Thus, the deal of CDG seems quite interesting.

So let's pump up science for the next couple of truns, like making a scientist in Shen Ling, since it's growith - and a scientist in Cha Ching just for the next couple of turns so our science would go up by a little. Math is our gateway to a science lead and we should do as much as possible to get it first.

This may seem like a big undertaking for the next couple of turns, but it may work. What's better? A couple extra turns in growing pop of getting math first? You tell me.

Armisan - there's no need to type in all caps. In fact, it makes things even harder to read for others. I've edited it to lower case.
