CFC Hall of Fame site status

As you will know the Hall of Fame sites have been down for some time, this is because they were running on old versions of web tooling which is now unsupported. We are working hard to migrate them to new modern platforms and will use this thread to keep you up to date with progress.

Work completed so far

1. Created a new landing page for all 3 sites that you should automatically be taken to if you access old bookmarks etc.
2. Migrated all user accounts to the new system.
3. Updated Civ IV save game parser to work on the new platform.
4. Set up the new framework for all 3 sites.
5. Setting up the Civ IV game submissions system on the new framework.
6. Migrating Civ IV static pages (e.g. Buffy Mod) to the new framework.

Work in progress

1. Updating the Civ III save game parser to work on the new platform.
2. Migrating Civ III static pages to the new framework.
3. Migrating Civ V static pages to the new framework.

Work not yet started

1. Updating the Civ V save game parser to work on the new platform.
2. Setting up the Civ III game submissions system on the new framework.
3. Setting up the Civ V game submissions system on the new framework.
4. Setting up Civ IV competitions (Gauntlet, EQM etc) on the new framework.
5. Setting up Civ III competitions (etc) on the new framework.
6. Setting up Civ V competitions (etc) on the new framework.
7. Migrating Civ III static pages (e.g. ) to the new framework.
8. Migrating Civ V static pages (e.g. ) to the new framework.

I miss the general HoF table with all current bests by difficulty, size, speed and victory condition, just to know what may be a worthwile (and feasible ) record to try and beat. I know there's a lot more functionality behind the hof site, but if I may suggest a quick win, just a static table/overview of current records would be nice, even if we can't submit yet. In any case, all your and other staff's work on maintaining this alive, is greatly appreciated!

It's on the agenda, Civ IV is what I was working on and familiar with so the others may take a bit longer.

Edit: I had a look to see if there was a quick win but both III and V are more complex in the way they present the main page so will take a bit of time unfortunately.

Civ III Hall of Fame is live with access to upload games, view records (top game in each category) and read the rules -> https://hof3.civfanatics.org/
(Still much to be done but I'm pleased to be able to launch this basic version)

Civ IV Hall of Fame is active again -> https://hof4.civfanatics.org/
(Note I made some changes under the hood to better accomodate multiple Halls so shout if I've broken something lol)

Civ V will follow tomorrow (11th November) -> yes my time estimation skills are as good as Sports Interactive lol.
(Sorry but it has been a really long 3 days!)

Known Issues:-

1. Log ins are not persistent
2. Colour schemes to be reviewed

You should see "Records" in the left hand menu:-
