In the world of tomorrow!!
I've played Civ 4 and have modded the XML some (mainly to change the boarder colors of various civilizations)

Can anyone tell me how to do it for CIV? I looked (and searched) and am lost...

Thanks

I want Rome red... not purple and America dark green... not blue.

Can't be that hard, right?

Dark green America? Haha, that's unique! I want Germany to maybe have some dark blue in there, and I want France to be magenta and yellow. Denmark should be red/purple, too.

I believe I found the files but I'm not one to muck with game XMLs. Anyways, colors can be found at:

ProgramFilesSteam/SteamApps/Common/SidMeier'sCivV/Assets/Gameplay/XML/Interface/CIV5Colors.

I opened with Notepad.

Top seems to tell you codes for certain colors, bottom has the Civ specific numbers.
Goodluck

you need to update the value for the DefaultPlayerColor in the CIV5Civilizations.xml file
and those colors are referenced in the CIV5PlayerColors.xml file
(in ProgramFilesSteam/SteamApps/Common/SidMeier'sCivV/Assets/Gameplay/XML/Interface/)

the actual colors are defined in CIV5Colors.xml, if you decided to make an entirely new color scheme
