So I've noticed I've intentionally built cities on resources a lot lately. I pretty much hate the fact that resources only allow 1 specific improvement and generally that improvement is pretty weak. Maritimes are clearly broken to the point that once you have them going at all farms are complete garbage, I think something is wrong when I'd rather have a trading post on a grassland than a wheat farm on a grassland. Also, trading posts seem amazing, to the point of wanting them over most production tiles except for wonders. A lot of the late game buildings are not too far off 1:1 in terms of cost ratio, so it makes a lot more sense to buy instead of build. Production seems to be largely for wonders, and its not like many of those are actually quality.
