It would not hurt to add military unit names to the citizen's registry. Then if an amendment passes adding this to the naming rights article, the information will be there.

CT, would you be willing to modify the registry 1st post and have a DG only announcement advising people to update their entry if they want to name a unit?

Well, just write into your citizen registry, until CT has added this to the main key in the initial post.
