City Display

I cannot get the city name or city graphic to display and help?

Yeah, during normal game play my cities do not display a name or defence % and the unit fortified on the city is displayed instead of the city buildings etc.
dont know how to get a screen dump.

Screen shot you get by simply pressing PRINT and then you'll find it in MY GAMES\Civilization 4\Screen shots

But I'd guess, you haven't activated the "show city information" (something like this, it is called) in the options, which you may find in the game after pressing CTRL + O, or in the entry menu under "advanced"

Commander Bello, the control + O does nothing as it just displays more city info but nothing on my cities is displayed, as seen below (if I have inserted the screen shot correctly) also as you can see no roads are visible either
