Heyt.

Working on some LotM orc cities, all single era.

Here is the first installment, walled cities, based on Minas Morgul. Hope you like.
You can see Osgiliath is one of Kyriakos' french cities. It looks sweet, doesn't it?

I am thinking about adding in the white (day time) version of Minas Morgul for one size, and use Kyriakos' Tower of Sauron with a few copy/pastes done to expand the base for the largest city size. I'm not sure about this. If I do, and people are interested, I'll post it.

NOTE: if you already downloaded, I shrunk the walled city and adjusted it on the pallett so it fits the grid better. Looks nicer now. Find it a few posts down with the unwalled version.

Btw, there is another version of Minas Morgul I have, its lower to the ground and more spread out, but it has a cool glow effect to it.

Thanks. Its not great, but okay for LotR enthusiasts.

edit: Now that I have the walled and unwalled in the editor at the same time, I am liking the look more. Btw, both cities are photos, so extremely realistic.

Btw, I discovered I have a function key, so I can take screenies now. I'll set up the editor with both versions I have of the city, and post a screenie.

agonistes, those look really great! I love them. I might have a use for them in my mod for a shadow faction I'm considering adding if I can find enough units. Please upload them to the database when it's ready.

If you can make different size 1, 2 and 3 cities somehow it would be an improvement.

Sure.

I've been tinkering with different sizes. I'll upload some zips when done. I also think I need to reposition and/or shrink the regular city to avoid some road overlap.

Here Nick, is the possibility for the size 1-6 city. Obviously it is Isengard.

Thanks Nick. I'm kinda happy with this version, to me it seems to fit. Just needs some adjustments.

But I plan on doing a more normal set of orc cities too. Those will take more time however.

I'll post previews of any changes I make or additions here.

Just dl'ed & took a quick look. Been working a "Hollow Earth" steampunk scenario & need "lost civilization" cities that look like they belong underground & suit the custom terrain. These really fit the bill. A range of sizes that look like Carchost would be perfect. If it fits in with your plans.

Lol, took me a minute to figure out what you were looking for exactly, Monkey. The 'Carchost' in the pick is Minus Morgol. I was thinking you wanted a city based on Tolkien's Carchost, and couldn't find a good photo of it. Then I scrolled up and realized you meant the Carchost in the screenie.

I've been working on this. I've been playing with all sorts of options for orc cities still. I just can't work something out that is as evil looking as Minus Morgol yet easy to have 3 city sizes with.

I'll keep tinkering.

So far best I have come up with is just resizing the pic and moving the smaller versions around on the grid so they fit the tile better.
