Civ 1 CTP online?

Why cant I find any servers for CTP?? do i need to update or what, cause after going back to civ 1 from civ 3, its just alot more fun and i'd like to go online

Get the 1.2 patch if you don't have it. It fixes many bugs, but there's still many not fixed. I never tried to play online, I don't know.

I think I found the patch on one of those pages. You can also find a link from the game, from the menu that appears when you insert the CD.

Did you buy a patched version maybe. I think if you start the game you can see somewhere what version it is. I don't remember this very accurately.

k, think i got it now, does just no one play CTP 1 online anymore? cause my computer can't find any servers, so waht now, will someone host a game(i don't know how)tonight and tell us all when it will be on(if its possible for anyone to do that), thanks

A few months ago I'd be happy to try a game online. Then I got Civ3... Too busy with this game now. I will not be playing CTP more this year I think.

My last CTP game crashed at a certain year. This is one of the bugs that curses the game. Luckily this bug does not happen often because it basically means game over.

Well, it might be a little late to enter the world of CTP1, but it is certainly not too late to enter the world of CTP2 -- look here and here.
