hi,

i'm a big fan of civ1. i play it from 20+ years, and still not bored to rule the world, but ...

sometime civ crash while AI turns, dunno why.
and sometimes i reload an previous save, restart and it's works, but some others times impossible ton continue the game, and i need to retart all from 0 :/

i use the french version 474.05 (or something like this) with some darkpanda's patches, but without the patches it's crash too.

is the english versions have less bugs ? which version are you using ? Do you have crashes ?

This is known to happen. The game becomes completely unresponsive, right? Under certain circumstances, the AI appears to get stuck in an infinite loop of not knowing what to do, and that's when the game freezes like this. Reloading and doing something different sometimes will prevent it, but that depends on how far back your save was made. If it was on the previous turn before the bug happens, your chances are slim. Still, I'm pretty sure I've seen this issue resolved here on an individual basis through hacking, by moving/removing the AI piece that's causing the trouble.

For an example of the issue being resolved by friendly help on this forum as mentioned by Mize, see this thread:

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=484043

Unfortunately, it depends on someone with hacking knowledge checking this forum and having enough spare time to help. The last person to post on that thread was out of luck, but if you still have the previous save you could give it a try.

The fantastic JCivED doesn't find units stack error, but after many tests i've undertand.

my game seems to crash not while the cpu turn's, but while compute production of my citys

I have too manys units ! i think i've made too many caravans while i don't know what make else :)

it's a bug i know, but i haven't think about it.

thanks
