Civ 2 Test of Time- advice needed

I want to buy Civ2 and play european WWII, asian WWII and european WWI. Should I buy Civ2:GE or Civ2:ToT, I heard that I cant play scenarios from Civ2 on Civ2:ToT?

Is there more scenarios for Civ2:GE or Civ2:ToT and which are better? Do you post here scenarios from Civ2 r Civ:ToT? And where can I find scenarios for Civ:ToT and are the WWI and WWII scenarios included in Cin2:ToT?

Also I want to say I am only interested in scenarios not the regular option when you start at 4000bc

ToT is better to create scenario (largest 24 bit units, 1 attack sound/unit, reserved tech, reserved unit, impassable terrains, multi-maps, more events options) but MGE have more and more scenarios

Civ2 MGE scenario are not compatible with ToT. but there's a scenario converter (Civconverter from Angelo Scotto) to convert MGE scenarios to ToT

A note of caution about Civconverter. It works pretty well, but there are some features that do not convert well, and you have to open up the ToT save file and do some further tweaking. If you don't know about scenario making, you won't know how to make those tweaks. Civconverter is a tool for scenario creators.
