Civ 3 in UK also in 30 th October

I've been really anoyed because everything indicated that Europeans would have a very delayed release of Civ 3....

However, I read the updated FAQ of civ3.com and found out this:

"When is Civ III scheduled for release?
We expect the game to hit store shelves in North America and the UK on or about October 30th, 2001. Localized versions for other countries are in the pipeline, but we have no official dates to report yet. As soon as release dates for other countries are announced, they will be posted here"

That means that Civ 3 will arrive in Europe in 30 October !!!

Take a deep breath and enjoy that fact!!

I just checked again at Amazon.co.uk and they still have the same date of release:
"Hasbro Interactive 28 December, 2001"

Off course there are other stores. But as far as know, considering what I've seen in the posts of this forum, all Europeans who are expecting to get Civ 3 by the end of October, are doing it by buying the game directly from the USA.

Therefore, I will have to see it to believe it!
But meanwhile, I'm trying to get my own copy straight from the USA too.

I am going to receive my copy on teh 7th of November becasue it takes 7 days to ship it from america and they will ship it when it comes out.

plus its only 24.99 when you order it!!!

I went into a games store here in Stockholm, Sweden today. I asked the guy behind the counter if he knew the release date.

He opened an Excel document, and it said November 16th on it!! (I saw it with my own eyes! )

Now, that's a hell of a lot better than December 28th!

I love the idea that the UK release of Civ III is delayed because it has to be translated from English into ....errr....English:crazyeyes
