Civ 4 just shuts down!!

3 day old PC. Game Civ 4 bundled with my Gigabyte 7600GT card.

Playing for a while and the program just shuts down back to Windows!!! VERY ANNOYING!

I have the latest patch.

possible reasons:
- gpu overheating
- do you have enough power?
- something else

magic ini file option:
- SetMaxFrameRate=30

btw, lot of high-end machines have troubles like this, study the Tech Support forum for more solutions...

The PC doesn't shut down it is just the game. Drops me out to Windows. GPU at around 45C.
