Hey

When I'm editing the map, I see each civilization has its flag (flag decal) in a folder

But I'm trying to find this folder on my computer, and going to this direction there is NOT the folder!

My civ 4 is in spanish, but anyway, the folders are in english

I searched in Firaxis' folder and also in My documents "my games" folder

Can anybody tell me where can i find them?

I'm saying that because I would like to add my own flag (drawed or real downloaded) to this folder, so then I can add to civ description on the map editor, so i would like to see my own flags on the game

Is it possible?????? for example, a paint drawing saved to flagdecal folder to be the civ flag

Thanks

C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Assets\Art\interface\teamcolor is the line for what you're looking for, you can put it there, but it won't do much good (without other changes as well,) for several reasons.

First, to display the flags in game you have to alter the XML file CIV4ArtDefines_Civilization.xml so that the line in the <Path></Path> tags links to you flag. Not too hard, but make sure you don't overwrite original files, just in case.

Second, CIV uses the file extension .dds (DirectDrawSurface) for most of it's pictures. This means that you cannot use bitmaps in your game. This to, can be fixed. You just need to download a BMP-DDS converter from somewhere (Will link if I can find it.)

So, what you are asking is possible, but needs to have more work than just drawing it, sticking it in, and playing.

I, too, would like to know this. And is there a pack of nation-specific flags I can download?
