alright, now from what I understand you can change the base game rules to say make a unit available a lil bit earlier and such, but I cant seem to do it.

I open the editor and leave the map blank, cuz I was told that would make it generate a random map each time, I edit the rules the way I want but then when I want to save it I am prompted for a name and it wants to save as a scenario. I saved it once, but couldnt figure out how to choose it when I wanted to start a new game. If anyone could help me I would appreciate it.

i would think that you'd have to save it as the exact name of the blank biq. i can't recall its name right now but it is the biq that is used to randomly generate maps and to play the epic-style game.

First, make sure you save your .biq in the "Scenarios" folder. When you start conquests, select for "Civ Content" (or something like that - I forget, and don't have Civ here). Select your .biq file and go.

If you are particularly daring, you can make a backup copy and then save your .biq as civ.biq in your main Conquests folder. This makes your mod the default game.
