I hadn't played in a while so I decided to fire back up my install. Couldn't find Disc one. 
So one trip to best buy later (also picked up BtS) I thought I'd be up and running. Not so much.
The first time I start up the vanilla Gold Install it loads. Exit the game, try to relaunch, the load screen appears then windows freezes. At first I thought it was an issue with BtS so I uninstalled that, rebooted the machine, but it still does the same thing. Next uninstalled everything, reinstalled. First run, works just fine then does the same thing. If I rename My Documents -> My Games -> Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Gold it will load but then crashes the next run through. Have not yet been able to get either expansion to work. I'm also not able to kill the game via Task Manager once it locks up.
Just to be clear, I bought another copy of the game I'm *not* running a cracked version.
