Hi Guys-
I recently purchased Civ IV at target for 30$, all expansions included. I came home to my crappy computer and tested the demo. On the demo, I can see all the resources, cities, and all that stuff, but I cannot see the terrain itself. Sometimes, sections of the screen make themselves visible.
Has anyone else had this problem with the demo? Is it just the demo or my comp?
I really want to download Civ IV, but if I open the game package, I can't return it.
I'm 14 but 30$ doesn't mean that much right now. My computer is really really really old, and the virtual memory is less than the memory I need to run the game. I also think the video card is crappy, which is probably responisble for not being able to see the terrain. My friend offered to sell me a new one for 55$ and install it for free, but it is probably going to crash soon anyway and we will get a new one(my mom is leaning towards a mac, but we already have one downstairs, I am on a PC).
I need advice:
Do I
A: Return it to Target, end of story and end of bargain deal.
B: Install it and hope for the best, then keep it for the next computer.
C: Buy a new video card.
D: Install it, hope for the best, if not, sell it on eBay to regain my money.
Guys, I really need some help because my mom and dad will be biased in a return to target sense.
