Civ IV is a piece of Crap.

I can't even install the game because of the "Catastrophic Failure" upon attempted installation of the 2nd disc (which seems to be a common problem). Worst yet, I can't even return it because I bought it in the states and moved to Japan.

Potential Buyers of Civ IV - BEWARE!!! I could take you up to four to five tried before actually getting a disc that works. Best steer clear.

Then it wouldn't hurt to use the Disc Doctor on it. I know it saved my first disc when I couldn't reinstall the game because of a extremely small scratch. (just a few week after I bought it) Even though I was careful and most of the time the cd stayed in my pc it still somehow got scratched. the Disc doctor has already pay for itself mant times for me.

Thanks for the reply. If you search the forum on this subject, you will see that it is not a matter of a scratch, but rather a manufacturers defect from the production line. It's just really irritating b/c Civ III was such a great game.
