After returning from a long break from the demogame, I had the urge to bring back an RPG that thrived during Civ III DemoGame III. Now with Beyond the Sword's Advance Start an RPG can be easily started.

So I was wondering if anyone would be interested in setting up and playing an RPG with and economy and everything. If your not really sure what I'm talking about you can take a quick look at the archived forum from CivIII DGIII here: http://forums.civfanatics.com/forum...1&pp=45&sort=lastpost&order=desc&daysprune=-1

It's basically an RPG game where you play as a character in a city in an empire (obviously one in a civ iv bts save.) You do not have to own Civ IV or BTS to play in it. An economy is set up so your character can own business' and enterprises and buy and sell items as the game progresses. Every week a set amount of turns will be played by whomever we elect and that person will post the updated save file.

We would have to make our own forum for the game as each business and story needs it's own thread. (It gets way too complicated in this one thread.) We could either go create our own invisionfree forum or something or we can even ask for our own forum here if we get enough people, but I doubt we'll get that.

So sign up here if you'd like to play. If you want to help admin the game as well as play state so, because well need 2-3 people to help run the game.

Once i see enough people are interested we can start getting everything together.

Ah yes I remember the DemoGame....I would join Civ4 one, but I dont have the game..I know sad...but yes I would like to see this again!

I think it is a wonderful idea however the Demo looks as complicated as anything and does'nt really add to the flavour that exists in the Civ world.

What you should have rather than football leagues and petshops is what actually happens in CivIV.

For example, you start at 4,000BC with nothing but palaces of the major civilizations where I suppose you could allign your character with a civilization. Then I suppose your character would contribute to the civilization either by military, science, labouring, farming, merchentry etc. to improve the civilization. Then as new technologies are discovered new buildings and new 'stuff' can be accessed and the aim of the game is to help your society achieve the ulimate goals of civilization.

I suppose you could emigrate to other civilizations if you don't agree with their policies.

PS. I've re-read your ideas and they kinda conflict, so ignore me.
