Civ Special Units

I think the F-15 is perfect. Historically, America has NEVER been more powerful than now. The fact that now we rely mostly on air superiority kind of makes sense that is the UU.

When talking about the Minuteman or Militia. Yeah, I can see the argument. They are a more symbolic choice. We do identify with the Revolution so they do make sense that way. I still think that since now is the time of American Military/Political superiority (We are the sole Superpower) the F-15 fits nicely in Civ3. Just my opinion.

Getting back to the F-15/Minute Man talk, I don't like either of these units.
The americans, I believe, were the first to use an ironclad in battle, and the LA class sub is suposed to be the best (Sorry Alpha). IMHO, the LA Class Sub would get the nod. Maybe giving it one more movement point and/or an extra attack point. Second place vote for me is the Ironclad. Maybe give it an extra defense point. Third place for me is the the G.I. During WWII, the GI's were known for forging ahead in N. Africa, Italy, and France when the British were moving ahead slowly under Monty. Maybe they could give the G.I. (Infantry) an extra movement point. This is significant especially since movement is down to one/one within another country's borders. This extra movement will allow them to attack if necessary, and to gain valuable ground and hold it somewhat like the Americans did in WWII. In fact, this is now my first choice instead of the LA Sub.
