Many of the civ acronyms (okay, not the both mentioned) can be found here (okay, only for Civ4, but might still be helpful for later).
Yeah, too bad we don't have that of a section here. (sigh) Would make the forums a little bit cleaner, don't you think?
Just checked it, it seem to be a list of all acronyms, but the site is listed under Civ4...mmhh.

I've never been fond of acronyms, I think they're based on a misconception. Even if I know what they stand for I find a text more difficult to read.
Although in formulas they're really handy, then I use them. Like in "sold Steam Power for 340g + 12gpt". But I wouldn't go "sold SP for 340g + 12 gpt".
A list of acronyms per game might be might be more suitable than trying to fo for one that covers all games. Expressions have changed from game to game, like a Right of Passage (RoP) in Civ III is now Open Borders (OB) in Civ V.
