Civ wannabe

Greetings good people, just wanted to complement everyone on such an awesome forum ! Believe it or not I have not posted here for 7 years as other games and real life gets in the way. I am really getting interested in Civ 4 again but unfortunately could never get into it fully. I think I get too impatient but I really do like strategy games and the whole civ scene. Can anyone give me some tips or advice to become a Civ junkie ?

If it's too slow-paced for you, see the link in my signature. I am a civ junkie after learning to play so quickly I can spam games everywhere. This hurts play a little bit, but you can get somewhat close to optimal once you get used to it.

Like you, I get impatient and don't like turns that take more than 30-60 seconds.

Or play along in some of the games at the Strategy & Tips forum.
