Civ3 Attributes for SMAC Factions

If you were to adapt the SMAC factions for Civ3, what attributes would you give them?

Here is a list of the primary attributes for each faction. I'm having trouble with the secondaries.

Gaians: agricultural, religious?
Believres: religious (duh), expansionist?
Spartans: militaristic (double duh), seafaring
Morgans: commercial (triple duh), ?
UN: commercial?, agricultural??
Hive: Industrial, militaristic
University: scientific (even more duh)

Cult: religious, militaristic
Angels: scientific, commercial?
Consciousness: scientific, industrial
Drones: industrial, ?
Pirates: seafaring, expansionist

Preservers: agricultural, scientific
Usurpers: militant, expansionist

I want to balance the attributes among the human factions so that only three factions would get each attribute.
 
Greenies: Agri and seafaring (have intimate knowledge of planets land and water)
Miriam: religious / militaristic (they are zealots after all, and must convert all to their cause)
Spartans: mil, expansionistic (gain new ground at all cost)
Morgan: commercial, industrial (he likes to build stuff and sell it)
UN: commercial and scientific (advance humanity peacfully)
University: scientific, expansionist (likes beakers, but also wants his own empire as is an immoral sod)
Hive: industrial, agricultural (likes lots of slaves working hard, big underground communes)

So, you intend to make a mod? (please say yes ;)

With these choices, you cover each trait only twice, with Relig and Sea only once. So, you don't have too many traits repeated.

As I don't have SMAX, only SMAC, can't advise on other factions.
 
note that in civ3 there is no need to set exactly 2 abilities. You can choose how many you want, 0,1,2,3 or even 8 :)

and why do you need it for?
 
Alpha Centauri isn't CivIII, but it is a civ-style game.The way it plays and the mechanics it uses are similar to the civilization games.So this question could be interesting if you try to make a CivIII Alpha Centauri mod.

I think it would be better to give each on three traits, to reflect the fact that there are fewer factions than civs.

Gaians: Agricultural, Expansionist, Religious
Beleivers: Religious, Militaistic, Expansionist
Spartans: Militaristic, Expansionist, Seafaring
Morgan: Commercial, Industrious, Seafaring
Peacekeepers: Industrious or Commercial, Expansionist, Scientific
Hive: Militaristic, Industrious, Agricultural
University: Scientific, Industrious, something else.
 
I agree almost entirely with Albow, earlier, except that The Hive should be Industrial/Militaristic or Industrial/Expansionist. This is more to reflect the fact that they're a POLICE state than anything else.
